CATALYST ARCHITECTURE Awarded Contract With US Fish & Wildlife Service

PRESCOTT, AZ- CATALYST ARCHITECTURE has been awarded a 5-year Continuing Services Contract with the US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) through 2013.

The contract award was made following
a highly competitive selection process for the Corn Creek National Wildlife Refuge Desert Visitors Center- a 15,000 sq.ft. LEED-Certified complex to be located 45 miles northwest of Las Vegas.  The Corn Creek Facility will consist of an 11,000 sq.ft. LEED-Platinum Visitor's Center, and a 4,000 sq.ft. LEED-Certified Maintenance building.

The competition drew several award-winning design firms throughout the west including the Miller-Hull Partnership (Seattle, WA), Line & Space (Tuscon, AZ), as well as Luchesi-Gulatti
Architects (Las Vegas, NV & Spokane, WA).

According to Vernon Hadley, Region 8 Acquisitions Branch Chief for the
USFWS, the Continuing Services contract could include projects anywhere within the USFWS's Region 1 and 8 territories, which includes Nevada, California, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and Guam.  The range of possible project types include new USFWS Visitors Centers, to the renovation of existing USFWS facilities.

Final award of the Corn Creek
