County Selects CATALYST for New 22,000 Sq. Ft. Admin. Building

PRESCOTT, AZ- Out of an initial respondent field of over two dozen A/E teams, CATALYST ARCHITECTURE was recently selected to enter into contract negotiations for the new Yavapai County Administrative Office Building. Due to the importance of local involvement for the project, CATALYST assembled a highly qualified design and engineering team with extensive local experience: Thomas Reilly & Associates (Construction Administration), Kelley/Wise Engineering (Civil), ETC Engineering (Geotechnical), Caruso, Turley, Scott (Structural), Engineering Systems Solutions (MEP), and SiteTek Financial Arts (Value Engineering).

This project has become critical to the County's continued operations, as the cancellation of the administrative portion of the Prescott Lakes Parkway project has forced the County to reassess the fulfillment of its current needs. The single story, 22,000 sq. ft. structure, to be built on Commerce Drive in Prescott on the site of the existing County Impound Yard, is intended to be energy efficient and highly functional, though it will not be seeking LEED certification. The construction budget for the project is set at $5,500,000.

The selection was announced on September 8 at the County's Joint Session. With this project and other new projects coming on line, CATALYST is gearing up for the increased work load and is currently accepting resumes and interviewing for both CAD production and project manager positions.
