CATALYST Shortlisted for U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service Visitor's Center Projects

PRESCOTT, AZ- Following the successful completion of two Visitors' Centers for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, CATALYST ARCHITECTURE has been placed on the U.S. Forest Service and the National Park Service short lists for their upcoming projects in California. In each instance a highly competitive, multi-stage proposal process led to the selection of CATALYST as one of just four firms competing for the project award.

The National Park Service's King Gillette Ranch project includes the renovation and expansion of an existing adobe structure in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The U.S. Forest Service project includes the design of two separate Visitors' Center projects in the Los Padres National Forest. Both projects will require careful integration of existing and new structures, as well as sensitive site work to protect natural resources and wildlife.

With a portfolio that includes more than five Tribal Cultural Centers, a LEED-Gold environmental education facility and two Wildlife Refuge Visitors' Centers, CATALYST has demonstrated the ability to facilitate an enriching experience for community members and visitors through the careful interpretation of culture and ecology.
